My name is Maureen. I live on the beautiful Orkney Islands right at the top of Scotland. The islands are steeped in archeology and rural traditions. I live with my partner and have 2 children and 3 grandchildren. Four years ago I had an accident at work that left me unable to work and after a few years of trying to find something I could do to fill the gap, I was getting very despondent.

About a year ago a friend gave me a gift of beads which has turned into a year of creativity and pleasure. I freely admit I am now a confirmed beadaholic.

My jewellry is unique in that it is all handmade and one of a kind, I may repeat some designs but never with exactly the same beads in them. The beads come from all over the world many of them handcrafted. I have learned a lot in this last year and my designs show this, I still have many more tecniques to try out. Life can be hard, full of stress and new situations. I hope my jewelry will give you happiness, confidence and the feeling that from time to time you too can feel like a princess!
